Objective:
KSB wanted a simple annual report that shows their commitment to the local businesses and community.
Marketing Strategy:
Provide a resource to the investors and local businesses year end numbers and show the strength of the bank.
Creative Execution:
After a strong 2007, the bank started to see the economic downturn. Because of this, I took the annual title and found a stock image taken off the coast of Maine. This image allowed me to take advantage of a hidden theme, "breaking out of the box". Each photo in the piece which featured a local business, community event, or service, I took a part of the photo and created a clipping path which gave the elusion of breaking out of the usual squared crop. I was able to Art Direct the photos to allow this type of treatment. I also recommended to print on a recycled paper to show the banks commitment to the environment as well.
